The Look of
Organization --
Kitchen Drawers
to Die For
Some of the worst areas in the house
for organization are kitchen drawers.
Rammed full of everything from twist
ties to spatulas, from toothpicks to
tongs, kitchen drawers suffer from
some of the worst organization in the
house. What's even more frustrating
is that this is exactly where you need
organization. If you're looking for a
great kitchen project, look no further
than drawer organization.
The kitchen places a heavy demand on
being able to execute a meal, but that
requires us to be able to find what
we're looking for. When kitchen
drawers turn into nothing but a big
jumble of metal and plastic, you feel
frustrated, the meal is late, and you
often end up with more than one
candy thermometer or potato masher
--- or you can't find the candy
thermometer or potato masher.
Take a look at the kitchen drawers below to see a fine example of kitchen organization. Now, just imagine how easy and pleasant it must be for the cook in this kitchen to find what she's looking for without tearing her hair out. Strive for this kind of organization in your kitchen drawers. You can do it, because these are real kitchen drawers in a real house (from my dear friend, Karen Sanders in Rockport, Texas!), So, if you think these are staged, think again.
